Linda Emma Schwarz Bennett's Obituary
Linda Emma (Schwarz) Bennett was born October 15, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Augusta Fach and Friedrich Schwarz. She was married to Merle A Bennett on February 7, 1958 and later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple October 29, 1963.
She was the loving mother of Michael Bennett (Tami), Sissy Higbee (Jack), Emma Bruner (Brian), and Sera Bennett (Dave Shuck). She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Linda passed away surrounded by her family on December 16, 2019. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in the Primary, Young Women’s, and Relief Society organizations. She loved music and played the piano for many years. She especially loved playing for a local nursing home every Sunday. She instilled a love for music in her children and grandchildren, many of who still play the piano today
She enjoyed listening to and watching musicals and also enjoyed watching Saturday morning Wrestling with her grandchildren. She treasured time with her family and was always there to help, no matter how inconvenient it might be. She taught her children and grandchildren how to be frugal and wise with their finances.
She loved preparing meals for others and making Rice Krispie Treats for her grandchildren. Linda was fiercely loyal to her family and to her loved ones. She is now enjoying a sweet reunion with her parents, son-in-law Jack, and grandson Tonio who preceded her in death.
Linda will be missed and loved by her family and all that knew her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21st, 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1155 N. 1200 W. Salt Lake City.
