Linda Christine Clark
October 1, 1948 - October 1, 2024
Presided at Legacy Assisted Living Center at 1449 East 150 South Spanish Fork, Utah 84660
With deep sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of our mother due to some existing health issues.
We find peace knowing that she has been reunited with her eternal sweetheart Leon and her father, mother, and brothers.
Linda Christine Clark was born on October 1, 2024 at Utah Medical Center. She was the sweet baby girl born to Melvin and LaRue Phillips and the baby sister to 4 siblings. Anita Williams, Richard (Dick) Phillips, Douglas Phillips, and Tim Phillips.
Growing up Linda loved spending time with her family. She loved to go deer hunting at Strawberry with her whole family, including her extended family. She found her most joyous memories spending time in the cabins up in Strawberry, playing contasta, sitting around the fire while listening to her grandfathers stories. She loved fishing, boating, and eating her mothers homemade fruit salad, mince meat pies, and scrumptious dinner rolls. Some of her favorite movies growing up were Abbott and Costello, Mr. Ed, Lawrence Welk, Rin Tin, Tin. As she got older she loved mystery books such as Hardy Boys and loved watching Murder She Wrote.
She loved to sew and make clothing for her children. She worked many years at Albertsons as a cashier at night so she could be home with her children during the day. She also worked at ZCMI in accounting. Even though she struggled with depression and severe anxiety she did what she had to do to help provide for her family.
She was an obedient member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served and held callings throughout her life. One of her favorite callings was when she got to serve teaching the children as Primary President. She loved reading the scriptures, especially the last years of her life. She loved her father in heaven above all else.
She met her eternal sweetheart on March 28th 1964 on a blind date her girlfriend set up. She then married him (Leon Arnold Clark) on April 1, 1966 in Orem, Utah and were sealed together for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake City temple on August 8, 1967. They were blessed with four beautiful children: Gina Lynn, Jeffrey Leon, Christine Ann, and Aimee Lee. They added 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren to their eternal family.
Please help us celebrate her life Monday October 21, 2024 at the Legacy Assisted Living Home in Spanish Fork, Utah 1449 E 150 S. Funeral service will begin around 12:00 pm.
We have found peace in knowing she has been reunited with her parents and brothers and sweetheart. A long awaited reunion with those she has missed for quite sometime.
We love you mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Until we meet again.
