Linda Joyce Olson Hale's Obituary
Linda Joyce Olson Hale, 77, died peacefully and surrounded by her family the evening of September 20, in her home in Hooper, UT.
Linda was born June 11, 1940 in Murray, Utah to Oscar Darrell and Alice Margaret (Phizacklea) Olson. Linda was a Jordan Beetdigger, graduating in 1958. She married her high school sweetheart, Roy Stuart and they had 3 daughters before divorcing. She married and later divorced from Reed Ostlund. She later married Jack Hale, the love of her life, with whom she spent the last 30+ years.
The majority of her working career was as a bookkeeper at McKay Dee Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting and camping. Spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren were special highlights in her life. She was always the protector, watching over her siblings as they grew up and then her own children.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Alice; nephew, Tony Varoz; son-in-law, Lindsay Little; brother-in-law, Ray Snyder; and great niece, Ava Jean Peterson.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jack Hale; her three daughters, Jodi (Scott) Johnson of Pocatello, ID, Tammy (Gary) Polen, Hooper, UT, Stacy (Bill) Johnson, West Haven, UT, and step-daughter Pam (Craig) Grover. Tremonton, UT; and 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are Linda’s siblings, Larry (Nina) Olson, Barbara (George) McNerney, Gary (Shelley) Olson, Kathy Snyder, Diane (Dan) Varoz, Jim (Vicki) Olson, and Jean (Steve) Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. with the viewing immediately prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Premier Funeral Services, 5335 S. 1950 W.
