Linda Yvonne Nester's Obituary
Linda Yvonne Nester, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026. She was born March 5, 1949, the beloved daughter of Thomas and Dora Long. Linda grew up in Magna, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School. She married Donald Stephen Rose Sr. and together they welcomed three beautiful children Tamera, Stephen, and Shaundele. During their marriage, the family spent time living in California where Linda continued her education by attending college and began working in secretarial roles. Earlier, she had pursued cosmetology reflecting her love of caring for others and learning new skills. Linda and Donald Stephen Rose Sr. divorced.
Linda was eventually reunited and married Don Nester, with whom she shared love and companionship for many years until his passing.
Above all else Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in creating meaningful memories she loved cooking, camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Holidays were especially important to her she went all out to make them special for everyone around her. Linda was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and found strength and comfort in her faith. She also had a deep love for her many doggies who brought her endless love.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Dora Long; her husband Don Nester; and Donald Stephen Rose Sr.; daughter Shaundele Rose; grandson Floyd; her siblings Betty, Thomas, Chris, Sarah, and Bill.
She is survived by her daughter Tamera Rose Duran (Michael Duran); Son Donald Stephen Rose Jr. (Mary Rose); Brother Jack Long; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely.
Linda will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
