Linda Lee Killinger Secrist's Obituary
Linda Lee Killinger Secrist (70) passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on September 10, 2022 in West Weber (Ogden) Utah after a long battle with liver disease. Linda was born in Mt Clemons, Michigan on April 23, 1952, while her father was stationed at the Self Ridge Air Base. Linda grew up in Benton Ridge, Ohio, where she met her sweetheart Jim on the school bus in 6th grade. Linda graduated from Benton Ridge High School class of 1970 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She later flew all the way to the Naval Base in Agana, Guam to marry Jim Secrist.
Linda served a 24 year career at the Ogden IRS. She happily retired and spent her leisure time reading a good book with a kitty on her lap.
Linda is proceeded in death by her parents Richard and Ruby Killinger. She is survived by her husband James Secrist, son Shannon (Sarah) Secrist, daughter Carrie (Eric) Leaverton, grandchildren Dallon Stephens, James and Brooklyn Secrist, siblings Tom Killinger, Pat Wilkinson and Tim (Marcia) Killinger.
Linda's family would like to thank Thatcher Brook Rehabilitation and Care Center, and Cascade Springs Hospice for their care, love and support during this difficult time.
Friends may call for a Celebration of Life at Premier Funeral Home at 5335 S 1950 W St, Roy, Utah 84067 on Thursday Sept 15th at 1 pm. Burial to follow at West Weber Cemetery 4472 W 950 N, Ogden, UT 84404, graveside dedication will be held at 3:00 pm.
