Lindi Shae Jex's Obituary
Lindi Shae Jex was born on February 12, 2001, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was born at 24 weeks’ gestation, necessitating a prolonged stay in the newborn intensive care unit of that hospital. She was eventually discharged into the care of a nurse who was also her foster mother. She helped Lindi when her health was so fragile.
When she was 21 months old, she was taken into the home of Frank and Heidi Jex. She became a member of their family within the year. Shortly after her adoption, she was sealed to Frank and Heidi and their sons in the Ogden Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was a sweet young girl with blonde hair and blue-green eyes, and lots of love to share. She was a social butterfly who spent a lot of time worrying about other people.
Our friends and family were thrilled to have her join our family and supported us as only friends and family can. (Thank you.)
She was able to travel with her family to soccer tournaments, Disneyland, Sea World, Bear Lake and the Bahamas. She spent time with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She graduated from Fremont High School in 2019 but got lost in the world of homelessness and addiction. She died on May 23, 2026, from an apparent overdose and will be buried in the West Haven cemetery.
She leaves behind her parents, and four brothers: Brandon (Jenni), Trevor (Kaylee), Colby (Hannah), and Austin (Taylie), seven nephews, five nieces as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
