Lindsey Maxine Conforti's Obituary
Lindsey Maxine Conforti August 20, 1984 - Mar 26, 2021
Lindsey Maxine Conforti was born August 20, 1984 in Salt Lake City, UT to John Robert and Mona Salazar Czarnik. She was the third and youngest child. She lived in Salt Lake until 1991 when her family moved to Genola, Utah where she enjoyed life in nature along with rabbits, goats, and a horse. When she wasn't getting into mischief with her brother Stanley, she loved traveling with her Dad when he would go on road trips
for the family business, CZ Trading.
She excelled at computers, and on September 8, 2005 she was the youngest person to ever pass the Utah Escrow Licensing exam, at the age of 21. She did it on a dare from her boss, simply by studying the manual. Eventually Lindsey changed careers and moved to Clearlink where she became friends with a coworker who would eventually bring her to her forever love.
Lindsey took up modeling for a time, and she still strived for that perfection that she already had. She would wake up in the morning and look like a million.
In a chance meeting in February of 2012, Lindsey met her eternal love Jim Conforti through mutual friends. Her coworker arranged a dinner for four and the minute their eyes met, they both knew that they were meant to spend eternity together. Some talk about "love at first sight", but this was it, in the flesh. In a whirlwind romance, they were engaged on April 28, 2012.
Together, they embarked on their fairy-tale.
Lindsey's nickname was "Li'l Lilo" and her favorite expressions were "Yeah Buddy!" and "What'd I do?". That last one was usually accompanied by an innocent but mischievous little face. Together they were "Lilo and the Landshark".
Soon after she moved in with Jim, she fell in love with their little Bengal cat, Roo. She called him a "cog" because she felt he was half cat and half dog. Every night they would sleep snuggled up together.
Lindsey met Jim's son Zachary and became the best Mom any kid could ask for. If you said the words "step mom" in front of Zach, he would immediately make it clear that she was his "Mom", with no "step" involved. The two of them were inseparable, especially on Sunday mornings for bagels.
The family traveled together and enjoyed the fruits of their hard work.
On February 1, 2013 - an event occurred that would change her life. Lindsey was a rear seat passenger in a single car accident. She had hurt her neck in one of those ways that takes time to notice.
For now, life proceeded on, and she enjoyed time with her friends in Las Vegas and just outside in a little oasis called Pirates Cove in Boulder City, Nevada. It is here that Lindsey developed a love for Christian Louboutin shoes - maybe obsession is a better word.
Lindsey also had a love of makeup and started her own business selling rare/hard to find makeup on EBay. It was especially popular when someone was looking for a treasured gift, only to find that there were none left to be bought. She probably saved the lives of a few husbands near Valentine's day, birthdays, and Christmas.
Lindsey and Jim were married on March 18, 2015 and celebrated their marriage again on April 18, when they were married at Pirates Cove by Cap'n Jack Sparrow in front of their friends. They spent their honeymoon at the Excellence in Cancun, Mexico.
In January of 2016, Lindsey's neck finally required intervention and her C5/C6 disc was surgically replaced. Once she had recovered from the surgery, the family moved to Draper to be closer to friends.
In April of 2016, Lindsey and Jim celebrated their first anniversary at Pirates Cove and then vacationed in Cancun.
Soon, Lindsey's love of makeup took off in a new direction as she started her own brand of makeup, Makeup Mafia - complete with her own trademark. She built the brand and started with eye shadow palettes.
Lindsey's love of travel lead her to Jim's hometown of Newport, RI for the summers of 2016 and 2018. They had planned to move there in the fall of 2019, but Lindsey hurt her ribs and the move was postponed, now indefinitely.
The story of 2020 tells itself, with Lindsey suffering through COVID thru Christmas and for a month into 2021. Lindsey was set to visit her Dad in the hospital, but a tragic twist prevented her from visiting. Unable to visit her father before he passed away, her heart was broken into pieces by his loss.
Lindsey spent her last day with her son Zachary, just being a Mom and having the Mom/Son time she cherished so much.
Lindsey passed away on the afternoon of March 26, 2021
She gave of herself until there was no more to give.
She took our hearts with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mona and Robert.
She is survived by her husband Jim, her son Zachary, her sister Amanda (Juan), her brother Stanley (Susan), and her loving "cog" Roo.
She is missed by her "sisters" Brandy, Chelsea, and Megan, her
"brothers" Ant, Clarence, Jared, and JJ, and our dear friend Michael Gifford who performed their wedding.
When she meets her eternal love again, their ashes will be spread where they were the happiest, Newport RI.
We will be having a "Celebration of her life" on Thursday, April 22 at 7:00pm at Wasatch Broiler, 7662 S Union Park Ave, Sandy, UT 84047.
