Lisa Smith Jarvis' Obituary
Lisa Smith Jarvis passed away of natural causes on July 5, 2025, at the age of 58. She will be laid to rest in the Orem City Cemetery, beside her beloved parents and brother.
Born on September 7, 1966, Lisa was a big-hearted and generous soul who lived fiercely and loved her family above all else. She was a woman of endless laughter, silly pranks, and fearless joy. Her love for Utah—its deserts and mountains—was matched only by her love for those close to her.
Lisa’s love knew no bounds. She was always there for those she cared about—showing up without hesitation, bringing comfort with her presence. She adored camping, rock hunting, dance nights, photo albums full of memories, and sharing joy with family and friends. Her unbigoted view of the world often raised eyebrows, but her heart was always open and kind.
She was absolutely, unapologetically obsessed with the color purple and had a lifelong love for unicorns—which suited her magical, one-of-a-kind spirit perfectly.
To those who knew her deeply, Lisa was more than just a mother, sister, or friend—she was a radiant force of love, laughter, and fierce devotion. Her memory lives on in the stories we share, the children she raised, and the legacy of joy and compassion she leaves behind.
She is survived by her sister, Kathy Russell (Craig), and Lisa’s four children:
• Trista Kelander (Rosi) and Trista’s three children: Treven, Taylor, and Kenzie Kelander
• Justin Pace (Rhynna) and their five children: Logan, Jaxsynn, Blayke, Paxstynn, and Braxstynn
• Hilary Lopez (Manny) and their two children: Hailey and Damien
• Brianna Jarvis and her two children: Jocelyn Ortega and Makiah
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Leo E. Smith and Donna Mae Smith, and by her two brothers, Ernest Smith and Larry Smith.
Burial will be at the Orem City Cemetery from 11am-12:30pm on Saturday August 2 and a celebration of life will be held afterwards at Scera Park from 1-3.
