Lodema Fay Meeks' Obituary
Lodema Fay (Morehead ) Meeks, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-greatmother passed away October 21, 2014 at the age of 92. She was born on January 1, 1922 in Portales, New Mexico. She was the daughter of William Walter Morehead and Mary Myrtle ( Fisher) Morehead.
Lodema married C. T. Meeks on November 30, 1942 on Oceanside, California. They were married nearly 72 years. The two of them moved to Woodland Hills, Utah in 2006 after being longtime residents of Los Banos, California. Lodema loved her savior Jesus Christ and was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher for 35 years. She was a seamstress and loved to sew. She enjoyed cooking and loved hosting her family for holiday meals.
Lodema is survived by her husband C. T. Meeks, 2 daughters, Linetta ( Gary ) McSparen of Lomax, IL and Margaret ( Joe ) Gomes of Los Banos, California. She also is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she adored, and was a great influence in all of their lives. Lodema was preceeded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Lodema requested no services. She said she didn't want a sad funeral, she wanted everyone to know she was ready to meet her savior. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate cards be sent to her husband C. T. Meeks.
