Lois Ann Miller Roundy
A loving faith filled and courageous woman, passed away on September 15, 2023, in Roy Utah.
Lois’s fighting spirit and strength endured throughout her treatment for follicular lymphoma cancer.
Born January 27, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio to Hattie and George Miller. Lois or “Lou Lou” was a beacon of positivity and strength to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Lois worked at Hill Air Force Base for 32 years. She approached each day with a heart full of compassion. Always looking for ways to improve the lives of those around her. Helping anyone she could.
She loved her family more than anything. Some of her grandchildren called her house “Neverland” because she always was there whenever someone needed her. Many still to this day say, “she was like a mother to me”.
Lois’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. It was a source of strength and comfort for her. She lived her beliefs daily through her actions. Her courage was inspiring to many, even in the face of adversity, she stood tall, never losing site of her faith or the love she had for her family and friends.
Lois is survived by her sister Mary Riddell & Stella Thompson, her children David (Dorothy) Hughes, Jack Hughes, Jayson (Kathy) Roundy, Cheri (Morgan) Roundy, Forrest (Mikayla) Roundy, Jaden Hughes, Karen (Dave) Valentine.
She has 25 grandchildren that she was very close to and even closer to some of her great grandchildren. She particularly spent a lot of time with her great-granddaughter Londyn Valentine. They had a very special bond. Londyn loved her grandmother dearly.
She is proceeded in death by her Mother Hattie Miller, Father George Miller, Sister Lena Eastman, Great Niece Shentana Simpson.
As Helen Keller once said, “The Best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched”- “they must be felt with the heart”.
Lois embodied this statement, “touching the hearts of all who knew her with her loving spirit and compassionate nature”.
In remembrance of Lois Ann Miller Roundy, let us honor her by living each day with love, faith, and courage. Her spirit moves on in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire us all. Lois’s life was a testament to the beauty that can be found in every day, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved. May her soul rest in peace.
A celebration of life will be held at Loy Blake Park, 550 North 3500 West, West Point Utah 84015, September 30, 2023, from 12-2pm.
