Loralee Fowers Webb's Obituary
LORALEE FOWERS WEBB On July 6, 2022 our mom, wife, friend and overall sweetest person in our lives passed away peacefully in the home that her husband built for them. She was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren as she fought with dementia and battled with devastating pancreatic and biliary cancer. Loralee was born on March 25, 1946 to VerDean and Maureen (Mama & Pop) in Panorama City, California. Mom’s brother Wayne, who teased her relentlessly, shared many memories of catching tadpoles, camping, hiking, visits to Yosemite and playing in the ocean their entire lives. As a kid Loralee rollerskated, pogosticked, biked, and swam to her heart’s content. Mom had a special friendship with her Grandma Tiffany who sewed all her clothes, camped with them, taught her to crochet, laughed and loved it when her granddaughter, “sister dear” would drive her to town. Loralee met her best friend when she was 12 years old; Erma and Loralee helped each other more than the other one knows thru church, boys, deaths, births and countless amusing escapades. Mom left California to live with her favorite Aunt Marge & Uncle Evan to go to Weber College with her admired and fun-loving cousins, Deana & Cheryl. This is when she went on a blind date and met the confident, hardworking Arizonian, Ryan Jared Webb. Mom told us that after she went on that blind date that she cleared her dating calendar! They were married 3 months later in the Los Angeles Temple on March 22, 1968. They raised 4 beautiful, funny and intelligent children and … 3 boys. Each and every one of her children completely adore her. The Webb family had several travels and adventures including an annual trip to California, and annual Webb reunion in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. We pitched tents and set up trailers next to the prettiest lakes, rivers and streams. Picnics, shooting, 4 wheeling, hunting, Yosemite, coastal trips, the Redwoods and the rest of the Western United States. In these places Mom and Dad showed us their shared love of nature and music of all kinds. Mom loved most all God’s creatures, and they were drawn to her. There were not many dogs that wouldn't go to her. She loved watching geese and ducks in the parks, elk, racoons and bears in the wild and even moose, deer, & cougars in her own backyard. Loralee was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had several callings, but seemed to enjoy Girls Camp Director and serving with Dad as Stake Camp Missionaries the most. Mom and Dad raised all their children with great faith to be honest, hardworking, to keep a sense of humor and to be adventurous. Loralee was an excellent typist and worked at Ma Bell in Los Angeles. When all the kids were in school, she worked for the Standard Examiner. She was also a professional wrapper for Macey’s in LA. Of all her jobs and callings being a mother was her favorite, her most rewarding and her most difficult. Loralee is preceded in death by her parents; VerDean and Maureen Tiffany Fowers. Survived by her Husband; Ryan Jared Webb. Her children; Kristi Webb, Lori (Vincent) Clow, Steven Ford Webb, Teri (Ryan) Durrant, Jami (Chad) Ahlmer, Jared Ryan (Stephanie) Webb and Daniel Dean (Allison) Webb. Loralee was a grandmother to 29.5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Services will be held at the Ben Lomond 5th Ward building (3350 North 1050 East in North Ogden) Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Funeral services at 11:00 am with a viewing prior starting at 9 am. For further information go to www.premierfuneral.com
