Loretta Greaves' Obituary
Into the loving arms of Jesus.
Loretta died peacefully at home on October 13, 2014 after a difficult struggle with cancer. She died in the presence of her brother, Jesse, her sister-in-law, Louisa, her cat, Bubba, and her dogs, Ursa and Gaia. Loretta was born September 23, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Ella May Nelson and Theodore H. Greaves Sr. She graduated from Skyline High School where she sang in the Madrigal ensemble. Loretta served an LDS mission to Milan, Italy.
Loretta’s career as a Registered Nurse (BS, University of Utah) spanned five decades where she compassionately served thousands in surgery, mental health, and rehabilitation.
Loretta is survived by her parents, her brothers Ted (Christine), Richard, John (Corina), Cleveland (Brenda), Jesse (Alison), brother-in-law Kim Taylor, sister-in-law Louisa Greaves, 22 nieces and nephews, and other dear friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her sister, Marie. They are together again and there is laughter and joy in heaven.
We would like to thank Loretta’s many nurses, doctors, and caregivers who served her so well. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Kenwood 2nd Ward, 3080 S. Kenwood Street, where friends may call between 10:30 and 11:45. Friends may also visit at the wardhouse Friday from 6 to 8 PM. Interment: Wasatch Lawn.
