Lornel Tweedy Morton's Obituary
Born December 7, 1934 in Salmon ID. Passed into the arms of her parents Robert and Lora Tweedy, husbands Carl Grubaugh and James Morton, as well as a son in law Charlie Sutherland on Sunday October 26, 2014 from the home of her daughter Shirlee Nicol leaving 4 children adding Jon (Keri) Grubaugh, Peri Sutherland and Paul Grubaugh, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and brothers Bob (Judy) & Joe (Sandra) Tweedy. After mostly raising 4 children, Lornel returned to school to received her RN from Kent State in 1973, but she didn't stop there, she earned her Bachelors in Coronary Care & Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Utah in 1977 then her Masters in Anthropolagy and Literature from Southern Oregon State in 1994. She loved helping people, traveling, reading, knitting, watching movies and sports and spending time with family and friends. A private family service is planned.
