Lorraine Louise Herrera's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Lorraine Herrera
After a two-year battle with cancer, Lorraine Louise Herrera, age 65, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Pointe Meadows skilled nursing facility. She was surrounded by a caring nursing staff and good friends who ushered her into the Kingdom of God with praise and worship.
Lorraine is the loving mother of two daughters, Rachel and Rebecca Sessions; and the proud grandmother of Jade Walters and Gage Howe. Lorraine is also survived by her two brothers and a sister: George, James, and Loretta Beck.
Lorraine was born in Akron, Ohio on October 13, 1953, to Elmer and Irene Beck. Her childhood was spent in Southern California. After high school, she moved to Hawaii with her first husband, Mark Sessions, in 1973 where her two daughters were born. In 1976 Lorraine and her daughters moved to Utah where she met and married Kurt Herrera who passed away in 2013.
Lorraine had her own housekeeping business for many years. She was a hard and conscientious worker. She found great pleasure tending her garden, even after a hard day of work. Lorraine was a true friend to many, many people because she was giving, kind, and generous.
Lorraine worshipped at Redemption Hill Church, Saratoga Springs, where she loved helping in the Children’s Ministry. Above all else, Lorraine loved God. Her life was characterized by the joy of the Holy Spirit. Her earnest desire was for everyone to come to the saving knowledge of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lorraine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
Lorraine has laid her burden down and exchanged it for the crown of life (Revelation 2:10). Please join us at her coronation celebration:
