Lou Rice's Obituary
Lou loved to be with people and was abundantly out-going. She was always up for going out to eat or for a drive. She loved listening to all kinds of music and sharing it with people. Her Spotify playlist was 38 hours long. She taught herself to play the ukulele and piano and had a beautiful singing voice. She accompanied family singalongs that latest for hours.
She loved creating her own signature style. She was always decorating her room, including covering an entire wall with CDs. She loved shopping and spending all her money. She loved jewelry, especially fun earrings.
She was a very hard worker. She valued that in herself. She worked at Wendy’s with her sister, Saver’s, and Ross. She loved making people laugh. She wasn’t a comedian, but she was funny. She loved to hear people laugh and hers was one of the best biggest loudest boisterous laughs that bought tears streaming down your face and your jaw hurting. She loved her yellow roller-skates. She loved collecting pretty rocks, gemstones, and crystals.
She was a needy baby and a sweet little girl. As a baby in the booster seat at the restaurant, she knew how to order ice cream with a cherry on top and was a kindergartener that would let you know when she’d had enough. She learned how to snow-ski at 6 years old and was fearless. She went on a sailing trip with her grandparents to Vancouver Island when she was 8 years old. She organized a talent show at her day treatment program that was a success. She planted sunflowers in the backyard that reached the sky. She got her driver’s license and bought her own car. She completed all of her high school credits and a project making a beautiful mirror.
She successfully avoided doing dishes.
She was obsessed with her cat Jasper who adored her equally as much.
She gave the best hugs. She had a compassionate heart for others’ pain because anxiety, fear, depression, and despair have been her close companions for the last 6 years.
