Louis Thomas Tierno's Obituary
Our loving Brother, Husband, Father and Grandpa died peacefully on November 19. Born in Sioux City, Iowa on September 10, 1941 to Dominic and Anna Marie Tierno. Graduated from East High School in Sioux City and served in the US Navy in Portsmouth, Va from 1959-1962 as a Hospital Corpsman. Met and married his love, Mary Catherine Cato on December 1, 1962. They moved back to Sioux City where they started their family. Dad worked for Western Electric, transferred to Salt Lake City in 1983 and continued working for AT&T Lucent Technologies as an engineer. He retired after 33 years. Moved to Murfeesboro, NC where they resided for 5 years. Dad served as a volunteer ambulance worker. They then moved back to Evanston, Wy to be near to their children. Dad was a hard worker. His grandchildren were the apple of his eyes and loved hearing their stories. He loved the many trips with his siblings. He was a great provider for his family, he always had a great sense of humor and was like a second Dad to many. Survived by his wife, 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Michael, Butch, Maryann, and Susie; 3 children: Debra Lynn of Denver, Richard”Dick” and Rebecca (Ryan) Gill of West Valley City; 7 Grandchildren: Aaron, Celina, Giovanni, Abby, Anna, Aaliyah, and Ava and one Great-grandchild, Quinn Hazyl. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary Magdelen Catholic Church, 837 Center St., Evanston, Wy on Tuesday, November 25 at 10am. Wake service held on Monday, November 24 at 7pm.
