I am sorry for your loss. I wish I could take away your feeling of emptiness at this time. Louis was my first cousin by birth, but my remembrance of him is as a quiet, thoughtful, and gentle young boy. As young children we would play together in the backyard of his parents' home in Chicago. He seemed to be an eternal optimist, always with a ready smile and genuine interest in others. I looked forward to our family gatherings when I knew Louis would be there. I'm sorry that our adult lives could not have included more encounters, but I always felt that Louis "had it all together." As I said, I wish I could help you in some way to ease your feelings of loneliness and emptiness at this time. Just know that I have fond memories of your Father. He will be resting in peace now, with his parents and first wife Betty, and will be forever in the hearts of you, his children. God Bless you all.
