Louise Roberts Lindsay's Obituary
Our dear mother, Louise Roberts Lindsay, passed away on November 30, 2024, at her home in West Haven, Utah, at the age of 89. She was ready to go! She was born on May 28, 1935, in Mount Pleasant, Utah, to Frank and Ellen Roberts. She was the youngest of 8 children. She often said she had many "bosses" growing up. As a young child her family moved to Salt Lake City where she later graduated from Granite High School.
Louise married Douglas Lindsay in the Salt Lake Temple in December of 1959 and then moved to southern California to begin their life together. She raised 4 children, teaching us by example the principles of service, provident living, tithing, and temple worship. After 35 years in California, they returned to Utah, building a home in Elk Ridge. She loved her home and the people with whom she associated; they are very near and dear to her heart. After more than 20 years in Elk Ridge, they moved to West Haven to be closer to family.
Our mother sewed a lot while we were growing up; she canned; and made sure we went on family vacations. She was faithful and diligent in her church callings. She was always there for us. She had a unique personality and knew what she wanted and was very determined. She will be greatly missed!
She is survived by her children Sequoia Goodwin (Ed); Craig Lindsay (Diane); Keilani Berryhill (Joseph); and Eugene Lindsay; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilson 5th Ward building, 2333 South 2700 West, West Haven, Utah.
