Louise Daphney Sims Calder's Obituary
Louise Daphney Sims Calder passed peacefully from this life on September 25, 2014. She was born September 17, 1909 in Garden City, Utah, to James Sims and Rosina Albertina Tueller. She grew up in Garden City and was educated in the local schools. She married Milton Pope Calder on September 10, 1927 in Logan, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
After a few years, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Louise worked at Auerbach’s Department Store for 25 years after which she retired. She and Milt enjoyed traveling and playing golf. After Milt’s death her home became to much for her to keep up and she resided at The Wellington during the last years of her life. She enjoyed living there and made many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Del, Babe and Mollie; 6 brothers, Kay, Lafe, Loren, Theron, Ace, and Lamont. She is survived by her only daughter, Marjean Calder Kamerath (Bob), five grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 46 great-great grandchildren, and her brother, Gordon.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Mountain View Memorial Chapel, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah , where friends may call one hour prior to services.
