Luanne Maree Lee's Obituary
Luanne Maree Pearson Kippen Lee lost a valiant battle with leukemia on Sunday, July 26, 2020. She was born on April 28, 1953 to Helene McDonald and John Pearson in Battle Creek, Michigan. Luanne was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah until she was 14 and moved to Morgan, Utah when Helene married Fred Kippen. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1971. She married her high school sweetheart, Martin Lowe Lee Jr. on September 28, 1972. Together they raised two beautiful children, Kody Martin and Kacy Maree. Luanne was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and loved her 25 year calling compiling the 5th Ward newsletter.
Luanne enjoyed spending time with her family and never missing a chance to watch Marty’s band play. She was a very talented artist using paints and pencils. She was also the best at gift giving. Anyone who knew Luanne would say that she was nothing short of an angel on Earth. She held several odd jobs through the years, but being a wife, mom, grandma and homemaker were her life's work.
Luanne is survived by her husband Marty; son Kody Lee of Morgan; and daughter Kacy (Jon) Wilson of Hooper. She is also survived by sisters Lee, Jo, Lynn and Ronda. Brothers Tom, Alvin, Calvin, Norman, Myron, and Stan. Luanne leaves behind four amazing grandchildren Katelyn, Karina, Cooper and Carlee; several nieces and nephews and a countless number of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Helene, in-laws; Martin Sr. and Dolores Lee, her dad Fred, and her beloved daughter in-law Frances Hall Lee.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the oncology team at LDS Hospital for looking after Lu when we couldn't due to current hospital visitor restrictions, as well as the friends and neighbors that have been checking in on Marty.
Graveside services will be held at South Morgan Cemetery located at 335 S. State Street, Morgan, Utah on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at 11a.m. followed by a celebration of life at the Whitear Barn located at 4159 N. Morgan Valley Dr. in Morgan, Utah.
