Luther M. Warneke's Obituary
Luther M. Warneke, 79 of Hawthorne, Neveda, passed away on February 2, 2026 at his son's home in Murray, Utah.
Born on July 2, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Milton and Viola Warneke. Luther was the youngest of three children.
Luther married his high school sweetheart Alice Waddel in 1966, and had three children, Mark, Holly and Christopher. Luther and Alice were married for 57 years until her passing in 2023.
Luther went on to Bible College to get a degree in Theology. He was a born-again Bible believing Baptist. He believed in his personal salvation along with his relationship with his lord Jesus Christ. Luther was a humanitarian, modern-day treasure hunter, entrepreneur, collector, buyer and seller of used goods. Everyone who knew Luther, loved him, looked up to him for
guidance, support, and for his knowledge and wisdom. He had a hard time telling people "No".
Luther is survived by his three children, Mark Warneke (Kellan Wolfe), Holly Quinn and Christopher (Joy Bologna Warneke), his six grandkids, Mandy, Emma, Lucas, Anna, Mya and C.J. Luther is also survived by his sister Geraldine Warneke, brother Marshall Warneke and several nieces and nephews. Luther is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Viola Warneke and his wife of 57 years, Alice Warneke. Luther will greatly be missed by his family and friends.
There will be a graveside service on February 10, 2026 @ 12:00 pm at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
