Dawnelle Bartholomew
One of my clearest memories of Lynn is when he came over to help me prune my fruit trees. I knew nothing about pruning, and Lynn took a few hours to explain it to me. I had been confused and worried about my trees knowing that they needed help but not having the money to get a commercial arborist. Then Lynn pruned them for me. He was below market value in his price. He said that his price was what he felt the job was worth to him. I really appreciated his generosity with his knowledge and his thoughtfulness about the price knowing that I had five kids to raise.
I was also very struck with how much Lynn enjoyed his grandchildren. Lynn took the time to teach even the little ones in his life. I will never forget Lynn sitting in his rocker teaching his grandson how to read.
It was a privilege to know him.
