Mandi Elise Shorter Atwell
Mandi passed away August 19, 2021. She was born May 29, 1976 in Fontana, California to Mary and Jerry Shorter. She grew up in Sandy, Utah where she attended Midvale Elementary School, Union Middle School and Hillcrest High School. Mandi enjoyed working with her mother in a family owned craft business starting at the age of 11. As an adult, she lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Sandy, UT and ultimately made her home in Richfield, UT.
Mandi was very social and enjoyed a variety of hobbies included hiking, camping, rock hounding and jewelry making which she was establishing as a business. She delighted in making friends and spending time with them. Service was a huge part of her life. Mandi was always willing to give of her time and herself to help friends and others, on an individual and group basis, and was involved in community service groups. She derived great satisfaction in sharing her cooking talents and meals with friends and those in need.
Her mother, Mary and youngest brother, Daen Shorter preceded her in death.
Mandi is survived by her father Jerry and stepmother Martha; brother Damon and his wife Jennifer; her children; Nikki and her husband Chris, Eric, and Evan; and grandchildren by Nikki, Ariel and Queen.
She was loved by many and will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, 9/18/21 at Lions Park at 4:00 pm in Richfield, UT.
