Marcelino Rafael Hanway's Obituary
With deeply broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Marcelino Hanway, who was born on March 17, 1994, and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marcelino was called home on December 25, 2025. Reuniting in heaven with his beloved mother, Antoinette ‘Toni’ Hanway.
Marcelino is survived by his three sisters, Isabel, Jasmine, and Esmeralda; his stepfather, Marcos; his aunt Bobby; his nieces and nephew; and many cousins and extended family members.
Marcelino was our protector, our adventure partner, and a constant source of joy. He was a man of immense spirit, known for his unwavering integrity and his zany, unforgettable sense of humor that could turn even the simplest moment into a cherished memory. He found joy in discovering new music, reading books, spending time with friends and family, exploring new coffee shops, and capturing life through photographs—especially selfies and pictures with the people he loved, simply to preserve the moment.
Marcelino worked hard and embraced many paths in life, gaining experience in food services, hair salons, and event planning. He was also a dedicated student at the Los Angeles Harbor Occupational Center. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marcelino lived with kindness, curiosity, and a deep love for those around him.
