And numerous nieces and nephews.
Marco was blessed beyond his years.
We were all were all enamored by his wit and his brain. As many times as we harassed him jokingly, we were all very impressed by his multitude of inventions and creations.
He was our Prof, aka Gilligan's Island Professor. He was such a studious kid determined to figure and concur what was put forth with his self-repaired wire hangar glasses and all. He was 13 years old when he built his first electric guitar. Even became an artist at a younger age. Some illustrations were hand drawn and even by brush stroked oil paintings ๐ผ The kid was a genius.
Moving to SLC the latter part of the 90s, he joined the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Local 312 Union. Where Marco found his niche in welding. He built a successful business from the ground up known as MGM Welding, LLC.
He naturally gravitated to this industry mostly for itโs diverse, engaging, and vital trades in the nation. Not to mention its competitive wages and benefits with extreme yet promising employment prospects. As a business owner, he learned to be a craftsman to manufacture a finished product entirely from scratch. Sheet metal workers are involved in a tremendous range of construction projects, including railroad cars, HVAC systems, skylights, and even gold leaf. His last project was in 2023 where he and his crew built hand rails for stair cases for a fairly large apartment complex in the SLC area. Unfortunately, the latter part of this project he observed from his hospital bed as he fought his battle with Esophageal Cancer.
We will miss you brother but we know you are in greener pastures praising our Lord, Jesus Christ and enjoying a great juicy steak at the important table of life. Save us all a seat. Rest in peace ๐
