He was married to Peggy Price Knowlden in October of 1972. They were married for 48 years before suffering the devastating loss of Peggy in November of 2020. Mark was born and raised in Tooele, UT. He enlisted in the Marines after graduating from Tooele High School. He then served his country proudly for 8 years before returning back home to Tooele, where he and Peggy raised their 2 boys next door to his childhood home and he resided there until his death.
Mark worked at Kennecott Copper Refinery for 15 years and went on to start Rebel Wings Hang Gliding School and was owner/instructor. He really enjoyed sharing his love of hang gliding with his boys and friends. He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitars. He also spent a great deal of time learning about and working with computers. He had a strong love for his church and the people in his ward, who he liked helping when he could.
