Margaret M Luecke's Obituary
Margaret M. Luecke , 65, passed away peacefully in home hospice on June 5, 2017 from breast cancer. She was comforted by her loving companion Mark and brother Charlie during her last days with us, also by many friends, visiting family members and neighbors during the last few weeks and months. Grateful for having shared her life are her brother, Charlie (Theresa) Luecke and sister, Elizabeth Everson of Fargo, ND; many cousins, nieces and nephews; Mark Patrick of Sandy and son Daniel Patrick, St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents Werner and Stella Luecke.
Margie was born in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Xavier High School. She moved to Portland, Oregon where she worked in restaurant industry jobs as a server, manager and book keeper. After moving to Utah Margie continued her sparkle in local restaurants around town while making many friends. She enjoyed working outdoors, camping, fishing, BBQs…but most of all enjoyed the interaction and friendship of all around her.
Margie was known for her ability to brighten a room with her positive energy, kind nature and wonderful smile. A gathering and barbeque will be announced later this summer to be held in Sandy for friends, colleagues, neighbors and family to share and commemorate the life of this wonderful person.
Special thanks to all care givers that traveled to visit with Margie, Intermountain Medical Center and Quality Home Health and Hospice for their outstanding support during the last year.
