Maria Louise Mabey's Obituary
Maria Mabey 51, of West Point Utah, was called home on April 28, 2012. She passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Our beautiful Wife, Mother, and Mammies (Grandma) was born to Douglas Ernest and Kathrina Bates on June 2, 1960. On April 27, 1980, she married the love of her life Jeff Mabey.
Maria had such an amazing passion for life, nature and antiques. She was able to accomplish her dreams by owning and operating Rustic Rose Antiques in Ogden Utah. In 2008, while still operating her store she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a lot of research and prayers she made an amazing decision to “do it her way and fight head on”. She chose to go with "natural alternative" treatments, knowing she would be given 4 more beautiful years to bond and travel with her family.
She is survived by her soul mate Jeff Mabey; her children, Trinity Conover, Trina Conover, Swade Mabey; and 4 grandbabies, Destinee, Jesika, Cadin, and Aryanna; Her other “Mom and Dad” Don and Judy Bezoski; her only sister, Carla Woods and Chuck and Linda Mabey; Plus several aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends. Maria was preceded in death by both of her parents and one grandson.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday May 8th, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Larkin & Sons Mortuary, located at 496 24th Street, Ogden, UT. Friends and Family are welcome to join or greet the family an hour prior to services.
Special Thanks to the following people who helped care for Maria in the last few weeks Jeff Mabey (husband), Judy Bezoski (mom), Swade Mabey (son) Trina Conover (daughter),Cindy Pollock, Daniela Quintana “friends” and Wendy Empey (sister-in-law).
