Maria Savage's Obituary
Maria Savage, age 40, passed away on May 14, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 9, 1982, in Russia, to Oleg and Nadezhda Perepelkina.
Throughout her life, Maria achieved significant milestones and made valuable contributions. She spent the last few years working at Global Medical Staffing, she felt very passionate about her work and the company's mission to connect communities with needed health care. Maria's love for adventure took her to different corners of the world, and she cherished the memories made during her travels.
She obtained 3 degrees in higher education: a Master’s degree in Philology, a degree in Hospitality in Russia, and a Master’s degree in Hospitality from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, showcasing her commitment to excellence and continuous learning. She took this knowledge with her to InterContinental Hotels Group where she built many lifelong friendships.
In her leisure time, Maria found joy in various activities. She had a deep appreciation for nature and loved spending time outdoors, especially exploring state and federal parks. Gardening brought her tranquility, and her green thumb created vibrant spaces of beauty. Maria's culinary skills were unmatched, and she delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. She had a keen eye for a good bargain and enjoyed browsing farmer's markets and discovering hidden gems.
Maria was kind, loving and caring. She was ready to do anything for her family and friends.
Maria is survived by her loving mother, Nadezhda Perepelkina; her devoted sister, Evgeniya Perepelkina; brother-in-law, Beinir Olavus Vestergaard; her sweet baby niece, Ruth Vón Vestergaard; and her beloved cat named Fluffy. Maria is now reunited with her beloved father, Oleg, in peace.
Maria's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all her friends, co-workers and management who always were there for her and helped her tremendously during the most difficult times. Maria and her mom never felt alone and always felt loved.
The funeral services in memory of Maria Savage will be held at Premier Funeral Services, located at 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, UT 84047. The visitation will take place on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Maria will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished.
