Marian Dorothy Page Fiet's Obituary
Marian Dorothy Page Fiet, 86, passed away completing her life’s journey here on earth in the morning of January 2nd, 2023. Her parents were Willard Eugene and Delora Hansen Page. She was their eighth child of nine who lived on her father’s farm in West Point, Utah. She attended West Point elementary School, North Davis Jr. High and graduated from Davis High School in 1954. She was the third sister in her family to win the title of Weber County Tomato Days Queen. She reigned at the Rodeo in Hooper, Utah. She then met LaMar Lee Fiet, a returning Navel Korean War, Vet, on a blind date. They each attended BYU where she fell in love, they then married in the Logan, Utah Temple. Her treasured children are Tracy Lynn, Michael Lee, and Mark Allen. She has 17 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, which all were the joy and delight of her life. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved serving and held leadership positions in both ward and stake, including directing two road shows. She was called on a three-year public relations mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, serving at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City. She took into her home over a seven-year period, seven wonderful girls in a program with the church and helped them through what was a difficult time in their lives. She was a successful businesswoman. She built a large sales organization in a company called “Figurettes” and helped with her husband to pioneer which is now a multi-million-dollar business called Melaleuca. She also worked side by side with her husband in their Travel Agency. She was involved in a severe auto accident in 1997 which disabled her, so she no longer could do physical work, but kept a positive outlook on life. In her later years she worked 12 years tutoring children in the government Foster Grandparent program at a local elementary school, teaching them lessons that helped them progress and achieve reading skills. She loved doing that, it was very fulfilling for her. She was proceeded in death by her son Mark Allen Fiet, her parents, Delora and Eugene Page, her sisters Marie (Bob) Nelson, Erma (Harry) Weenig, Emma Jean (Bryce) Singley, (Dean) Wilson. Her Brothers Lloyd (Renae) Page, Allen (Mary Anne) Page, Reed (Lucile, and Betty) Page, Elden (Verda) Page, and two infant grandsons. She is survived by daughter Tracy Lynn (Neil) Corbridge. and son Michael Lee (Lisa) Fiet. Her Sister Elaine (Des) Townsend, her 3 sisters in laws and 1 brother-in-law.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00-11:45 will a funeral service to follow at Noon, at the Layton Utah Northridge Stake building 2375 East 3225 North, Layton, Utah.
Burial on the same day following the service at the Syracuse City Cemetery.
