Marian Kennedy's Obituary
Marian Kennedy, Aunt Mare, was born on September 28, 1944 in Salt Lake City to Harry and Gladys Kennedy. Marian passed away on January 13, 2025 at her home in Midvale Utah.
Marian worked at Litton/Northrop Grumman for 38 years, and enjoyed most of her time there. She had many friends some of those friends were still in her life to the end.
In her younger years Mare was a great softball player with her sister Suzanne. Mare played catcher and according to her she could throw to 2nd base on the fly without standing up. Not having a glove of her own, her brother John gave her his.
Later as Mare got older Golf became her game. She was a very good golfer, playing on a couple leagues. She would say ”you can putt it from there”, no matter how close you were to the green. Another saying of hers was “oh just putt it, looking does no good.”
Mare treasured all of her nieces and nephews and thought of them as her children. Along with her friends and family she will be truly missed.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Gladys Kennedy, brothers Jimmy Kennedy and Brent Kennedy, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Marian is survived by her partner of 46 years Darlene Donnelson, sister Suzanne and Neill Smith, brothers Gerald and Jeannie Kennedy, John and Loranne Kennedy, and Neil and Lorretta Kennedy.
