I just heard about your departure to heaven. Dear Marie, I'm sure you'll be able to read my message and so I thank you so very much for the fun and laughs you gave me for the little time we got to spend together in San Diego. I'll always cherish those memories with a smile. Rest in peace dear and keep an eye on your beloved ones here on hearth.

I only met Marie a few times and each time she always had a smile to share. One of my favorite memories is from years ago when she and Georgio lived in Draper, UT. Marie found a pager in the street when she went to the mailbox. She didn't know what it was, but she recognized that it was probably something important to someone so she brought it in and set it on a table until Georgio would get home and they could figure out what to do with it. In the meantime it would periodically go off and vibrate and jump all over the table. The first time it went off Marie wrapped it in a towel to quiet it, but that didn't help much. The next time she wrapped it up more to try to quiet it, and then wrapped it more the next time it went off. By the time Georgio got home that evening Marie had wrapped it in so many layers that it was a big bundle of sheets, towels, and blankets on the table. LOL :)
I always left Marie's presence with a smile on my face, and that is the gift she continues to give when I think of her, and hopefully to many others too. Many virtual Hugs and Love to Marie's family while you go through this sad time.
Rest in peace, Mom. We will miss your great sense of humor and passion. May you find peace. Love you always.
