Marilyn Hardman Beck
July 28, 1936 – March 5, 2022
Marilyn Hardman Beck peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the age of 85. She was surrounded by loved ones, who were by her side. Marilyn was born in Murray, Utah on July 28, 1936. She grew up in Magna, Utah She married William R. Beck in Logan, Utah on October 11, 1957. They resided in Hunter, Utah and have four children; Roger (Kris) Beck, Garen (Traci) Beck, Paulina (Craig) Oswald, and Durand (Melanie) Beck
As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she continually served her family.
Marilyn had a gift for sewing, knitting, crocheting and needle point. She created many personalized gift for her family and friends. She served faithfully in her church callings throughout her life and actively worked on her genealogy.
She worked at various clerical jobs during her career which included Kennecott Copper, ZCMI, Restaurant Store & Supply and Crane Carrier Corporation.
She enjoyed spending time with family and was always proud of the accomplishment of her children & grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Soccer, Baseball, NASCAR, Gameshows and the Utah Jazz on TV.
Health challenges and struggles made her into a stronger woman of faith. She will always be remembered by all who know her for the many acts of kindness and love she extended again and again. Her favorite title she held was that of GRANDMA. She has been blessed with 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents Leonard & Lucile, her brother Verl and grandson Bridger. She is survived by her sister Shirley Allen, and her four children who love her dearly.
A viewing will be held the evening of March 10, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the Hunter 3rd Ward (3737 South 5600 West, West Valley City, Utah)
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday March 11, 2022 at the Hunter 3rd Ward, (3737 South 5600 West, West Valley City, Utah) ~ with a viewing from 9:00 am – 9:45am. Interment to follow at Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
