I have been thinking of Marilyn lately. So I decided to Google her name and I was sad to find this. I used to do her hair when I was in Beauty School and she would come in to get it styled and request me. She was my most favorite client! I still have her book she gave me. She was always so sweet and interested in what was going on in my life. I don’t think it was any coincidence that I was the one to do her hair that first time because after talking to her, I learned that she knew my late Grandma, Ruby Root, when they lived in California. She told me of the big church fundraisers they would plan and eventually they had to stop because they were making too much money 😆. I was in hair school before I had kids. Now I have 5 daughters and my 4th born daughter’s name is Marilyn. I hope her and my Grandma have been able to meet again and reminisce about old time in Sunny California.
