Marilyn Mitton Roth's Obituary
Marilyn was born in Brigham City, Utah on November 28,1942, to James Wesley Mitton and Claudia Mae Larsen. She passed away on December 14, 2023, from her third battle with cancer. She felt that her two previous cancer miracles gave her an extra fifty years with family and friends.
On April 28, 1963, Marilyn married Charles Frederick Hoffmann. They had six children. They were later divorced. On August 11, 1990, she married James Albert Roth, her eternal companion. Together Marilyn and James had fifteen children, forty- seven grandkids and nine great grandkids.
Marilyn loved spending time with her family. Marilyn was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. She served in the church in many capacities throughout her life.
Marilyn loved animals. We teased her that Buffy was her sixteenth and favorite child. She loved birds of all kinds, especially her owls and the hummingbirds she fed.
Marilyn loved to shop! Her favorite thing was to find the biggest bargain she could while shopping. She also loved to travel and cook. She showed her love to others by cooking and baking delicious food for them.
Marilyn chose to have a small family service. It was held at the Hyrum cemetery on Tuesday December 19, 2023.
