Marisa Kiyoko Batty was born on September 7, 1978 in Logan, UT to Curtis Eugene and Cynthia F. Batty. She passed away from liver failure on March 7, 2023 in Springville, UT at the age of 44.
Marisa grew up in Randolph,Utah. One of her favorite things was going to Bear Lake in the summer to play in the water and enjoying the sun. Traveling and camping with her family was also a highlight of her childhood. She graduated from Rich High School in 1997 and attended Snow College in Ephriam, UT. She lived in Salisbury. She loved to read, draw, and work on word search puzzles. She loved pizza, burgers, chocolate, and ice cream. Her favorite color was purple.
Marisa battled bouts of depression for most of her life. She always managed a smile to lighten your heart and performed little acts of kindness for others. She had a sweet and gentle spirit about her. She preferred to remain in the background but her quiet influence was constantly present.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Timpanogos Regional Hospital and the team at Applegate Home Care & Hospice for their excellent care for Marisa and for making her final days as comfortable as they could be. There have also been countless individuals who have expressed their love and concern for her and her family. Those acts of kindness and the people who performed them will never be forgotten.
