Marjorie Harding Clements' Obituary
Marjorie passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3rd, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 15, 1929, in Provo Utah, to Eldred and Elva Harding. Marge was the third of four daughters and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Attending local schools, she graduated from Farrer Jr. High & Provo High. Marge also went to BYU for two years, and was a member of the Val Norns (a literary club). Marge's first job was at AT&T Telephone Co. as a service rep. While working there she met her future husband, Hank Clements. It was love at first sight that special day, March 4th 1951. He worked in the building next door, & they took their morning breaks together at the Provo Bakery. Marjorie & Hank were married 8 months later on November 9th, 1951. They were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple. Marge & Hank have 3 children, Michelle (Steve) Christensen- Ferron, UT, Scott Clements- Wyoming, & David (Cindy) Clements- Provo, UT. Marge worked at many other jobs during her lifetime including JC Penny's Credit Dept, Signetics Corp, ZCMI Credit Dept for 22 years, and LDS Distribution Center in Orem for over 10 years. She loved meeting & helping the new missionaries there. After retiring, Marge & Hank enjoyed traveling all over the western states for vacation. They loved taking their motorhome to Yuma, AZ every winter, enjoying the weather, site seeing, shopping, & the company of their many friends. Marjorie had many talents, she loved to cook & sew for family & friends. Marge made the best family dinners & wonderful homemade bread. She was a great loving example to everyone. Marjorie is survived by her husband Henry J Clements, 3 children, 11 grandchildren, & 26 great grandchildren. Also by two sisters, Shirley Petersen -Portland OR, & MaryAnne Marrott -Provo UT and extended family. Marge is preceded iin death by her parents, Eldred S and Elva Prows Harding, sister Helen Harding and grandson Zachary Clements. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Beehive Homes & 1st Choice Hospice and Healthcare for their attentive devotion & care of our loving wife, mother. Also a special thank you to the Cherry Hill 5th Ward Bishopric and Relief Society and Premier Funeral Services for their kindness. and grandmother in her final days. The family will be having private services.
