Marjorie Mae Luke's Obituary
OBITUARY
Marjorie Mae Luke
1931 - 2016
Our dear Mother, sister and Grandma Honey died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, February 20, 2016.
She was born May 13, 1931 to Virginia LaValle Neilson and Atelee Migliori in Price, Utah. She was the oldest of 11 children and learned at an early age to care for her siblings. She said she always had the new babies in her room to help her mom, so she learned to love them quickly. She kept that love and concern for her brothers and sisters all her life.
On July 23, 1950, she married Dick Douglas Luke, who adored her. They spent their years in love and work and joy. They were constant companions, friends and partners. They had two children: daughter, Margene Luke and son, Michael Douglas Luke.
She spent her early married years as a homemaker and executive assistant. As a new widow, she became president and property manager of three companies, and continued that work until her death. Although she said she didn’t like yard work, she always had a beautiful yard and was famous for her marigolds.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Dick Luke; brothers Robert Migliori and Eugene Migliori; and sister Jeanette Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Margene Luke, Draper, UT; and son, Michael Luke (Sandy), Taylorsville, UT.
