Marjorie Christina Odean's Obituary
Marjorie Christina Odean was born in Gothenburg, Neb. on Nov. 28, 1919 to parents, John G. Aden and Elizabeth W. Aden. She was reborn as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism on Jan. 4, 1920. On June 3, 1934, she was confirmed in the Christian faith and was fed the life-giving body and blood of Jesus. She was united in holy marriage to William G. Aebig on Oct. 5, 1941 and blessed with 10 years of married life together. She later was married to Velmar S. Odean on Oct. 11, 1966 and blessed with 11 years of married life together. God also blessed her with the gift of a son: Robert Aebig; also stepchildren Larry Odean and Kay Maxfield. Marjorie is remembered for her her great love and her capacity to forgive as well as her enjoyment of arts and crafts. On Oct. 10, 2011, God called Marjorie home to heaven.
She is survived by her son, Bob & wife Phoebe, her siblings Robert & Leah Aden and Boyd Aden. She was predeceased by her husbands William and Velmer. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.
On Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:00 am, funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 475 East Herbert Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah with a viewing prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
