Marjorie Patricia Schmeidler's Obituary
Marjorie Patricia Schmeidler, 81, quietly passed away at the Deseret Health Facility in Sandy Utah on April 21, 2015 after a short stay. She had previously been residing with her son (Dan) and her daughter in-law (Leona) in Sandy Utah.
Marjorie was born July 10, 1933 in Aztec New Mexico to parents Roy Dean Lewis Sr and Mabel Victoria Jackson. She was married on February 17, 1952 in Aztec New Mexico to Albert Anthony Schmeidler.
Marjorie had a long list of accomplishments including graduating at the top of her High School Class at Aztec High School. She served in many leadership positions throughout her academic life and served in various positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her accomplishments were underscored only by her natural love for life and family.
Marjorie is survived by her three children David and Dan Schmeidler, and Patti Smith, seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Martha Wendt, her brother Dan Lewis and wife Margo, and sisters in-law Marva Teran and Isabelle Staab.
She is preceded by her husband Albert Schmeidler, her mother Mabel (Jackson) Montler, her father Roy Dean Lewis, brothers Robert Teran and Roy Dean Lewis Jr, sister Virginia Cluff, and half sisters Verna and Norma. She is also preceded by grandsons Craig and Derek Schmeidler, and great grandson Oliver Crane.
A friends of family gathering was held on April 25, 2015 at the Midvalley 6th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The viewing was held on April 27, 2015 between 6:00 - 7:00 PM at Premier Funeral Services. Graveside services were held on April 28, 2015 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park at Bluffdale Utah where she was laid to rest with her husband.
