Marjorie Francis Thomas Vance's Obituary
Marjorie "Woo Woo" Vance peacefully passed away in her West Valley City, Utah home early Tuesday morning March 21, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born 84 years ago in Gautier, Mississippi. She married her sweetheart, Kenneth Vance, with whom she spent 65 wonderful years. They were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in 1965.
She is preceded in death by parents, Annie Mae and Lee Thomas, sisters Betty Hudson and Evalyn Green, granddaughter Christina, and great-granddaughter Mackenzie Rose.
She leaves behind a beloved family: her husband of 65 years, Kenneth; 3 daughters: Donna, Vickie (Chris), and Kendell (Kevin); 10 Grandchildren: Brittany, Jennifer, Dalin, Kevin (Stevie), Dane, Patrick (Heather), Emma, Morgan, Marcus (Gabby), and Sean (Chloe) and five great-grandchildren.
She lived a life filled with laughter, joy, and good food. She devoted her life to her family and her Heavenly Father and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a love of genealogy and helping others as the Family History Consultant. Many may know her from her time as a supervisor at Doxey Hatch Medical Center, co-author of several Winder West 7th Ward productions, and the proud owner/operator of her own hair salon.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 25th at the Centennial Park Ward located at 3372 South Merry Lane, WVC, UT 84120. Viewing precedes the funeral 10 AM - 11:30 AM. Funeral at 12 PM. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park.
