Mark Workman Davis' Obituary
Mark Workman Davis, 69, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Mark was born January 1, 1954 in Vernal, Utah to George Careless Davis and Florence Ella Workman. He was the youngest of five children. The family moved to West Sacramento, California in November 1955. Mark attended Evergreen Elementary School. The Family moved to Rosemont Village on the East Side of Sacramento in 1967 where Mark graduated from Hiram Johnson High School. He married in 1982; however, they were later divorced. Mark moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah in 2002.
After High School he received training in auto mechanics and computer technology. He provided computer support for Raley’s Grocery Stores and later for car dealerships in the Sacramento valley area. He worked for a sign company supporting their printer that printed large vinyl signs. After moving to Utah he purchased a franchise with Computer Medics and had his own computer repair business. As he approached retirement age to the time of his passing he worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Pleasant Grove where he loved his fellow workers and the commercial customers he served.
Mark was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in various callings throughout his life and loved the members of the American Fork 30th Ward where he and his older sister Leah were members for several years. He and Leah helped each other after she retired. Leah moved to Utah where they lived together. He took loving care of her until she moved back to California to live with her daughter.
Mark was very service oriented and made friends wherever he went. People just seemed to automatically become his friend. He loved his family more than anything and we have been so blessed to have him here to share in family dinners and activities.
Mark is survived by his brothers Wayne and Max Davis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kent Davis and his sister Leah Peterson.
