Mark Allen Domingue's Obituary
Mark A. Domingue, 52 of Riverdale, Utah passed away September 13, 2015 after a 2 year battle with cancer. Mark was born March 13, 1963 to Mitzi and Pete Domingue in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mark served 8 years in the U.S. Navy and managed a K-Mart before dedicating his life to public service as a firefighter. He began as a volunteer firefighter before he became full time with the City of Atwater, California and later with Cal Fire. He was very proud of his career and the bonds with fellow firefighters. He retired in 2013 to move to Utah to be with his wife.
Mark was a military dependent raised in California and Guam. As a teenager in Guam, he met his future wife, Kim, and married her 32 years later. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, swimming and any competitive sports. He was an avid fan of the SF Giants and SF Niners.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kim Domingue, his parents Pete (Ann) and Mitzi Domingue, his sons Michael and Cameron, stepdaughters, Amanda Harris (Michael Morrison), Brittany Roundy (Blake), sister Cathie Southern, in-laws Raymond and Carol LaFon, one special granddaughter Kendall Morrison and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Harold Johnson, Anabeth OConnor, R.N., and the entire staff of Utah Hematology Oncology, along with Dr. Leslie Ingersoll, Hospice Nurse and family friend Amy Shiramizu, R.N. and close friend Jeremy Rahn. Their kindness and compassion are endless.
A public memorial service will be held on Friday September 18, 2015 at 10:00 am at Washington Heights Community Church, 1770 East 6200 South, South Ogden, Utah
