Mark Alan Gary's Obituary
MARK A GARY ended his journey here on earth June 11, 2017 in Salt Lake City UT. Preceded in death by parents, H. Everett Gary and Gisela Gary Coleman. Survived by siblings, Greg and Debbie. Born in Medina Ohio on June 25, 1953, life was an adventure living on a rural 50-acre farm. In the mid 1960’s, the family moved to Somerset PA. After completing his high school education, Mark traveled across the states and Puerto Rico while employed with Western Geophysical. After several years, Mark returned to Somerset and was very proud to construct and build the new golf course while employed at Hidden Valley Resort, where he got the nickname ‘ Muck Maintenance’. In the 1990’s, Mark decided to pack his pickup truck with his belongings and his beloved dog, Maxwell (Max), and go gold-panning out West for a couple of years. He then settled near his brother Greg in Salt Lake City where he got an education to become an electronics technician. He was last employed at Monnit, a dedicated and hardworker.
Mark loved his family, enjoyed riding his Harley and spent many hours of his time playing and making digital music with the numerous guitars he collected. Mark had a great sense of humor that would brighten your life. He was very caring and had a heart-of-gold. A pool-shark at billiards. In 2007, Mark joined with his mom and brother on visit to family in Germany and to explore some of the wonders of Europe.
