Mark Allan Kolbo's Obituary
Mark Allan Kolbo, age 71, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in West Haven, Utah, surrounded by his loving family after many years of courageously battling Parkinson’s disease.
Mark was born December 28, 1954, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Louis Alvin Kolbo and Jenice Yvonne Paulson Kolbo. He was raised in Anaheim, California, where he grew up alongside his three brothers, Michael, Larry, and Keith.
Mark was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout his life, he nurtured a testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and of the restored gospel. In 1974, he married Linda Lee Fleming in Los Angeles, California. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles California Temple. Mark valued his family and considered them his greatest blessing.
During his life, Mark lived in Southern California; Orem and Cedar City, Utah; San Antonio and Tyler, Texas; and West Haven, Utah.
To provide for his large family, Mark worked in many capacities throughout his life, including as a salesman, truck driver, and business owner. In the 1980s, he and Linda operated a paint shop in Cedar City, Utah, called The Paint Bucket. Mark was happiest when working alongside his family and expressing his creativity.
In the early 2000s, Mark and Linda founded Linda’s Backyard Bunch, bringing joy to countless families in East Texas. Hundreds of children fondly remember the puppet shows and birthday celebrations lovingly created and performed by Mark, Linda, and their children.
