Mark "Darren" Prazen's Obituary
Mark "Darren" Prazen, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Mark was born on March 24, 1965 to John F. and Carol E. Prazen in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mark was always the entertainer. In his younger years he worked at The CasaBlanca Resort in Mesquite, Nevada as a Security officer and later as a Casino Host until his mental illness took over. He moved back to Salt Lake where he ultimately ended up in the kind and welcoming Little Cottonwood Assisted Living Center where he continued his entertaining nature as the "President of the Residents" a title that he wore proudly. Mark loved it there he felt as though he was home and where he needed to be.
Mark is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers Randy and Marlon, his Sister Shannon and his Sister-in-law Tarri.
Mark is survived by his son, Wesley, Brother Adrian (Rachel) and Sister Machele (Ken).
The family would like to thank Little Cottonwood, the Administrator, Cameron, the Resident Advocate, Rico, who treated him as a brother and the Director of Nursing Yolanda for their love and grace during his life.
