1952-2014 Mark J. Smith, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 30, 2014. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1952 to Woodrow Smith and Vounes (Black) Smith. He is survived by his wife, Pam Smith, daughter Shannon Burnham, grandchildren Tristan and Griffin, siblings Linda (Tracy) Petersen, David Smith, Kirk (Sandy) Smith, Wayne (Carla) Smith, niece, Michelle Petersen, and nephews, Nick Parrish, Oliver Smith, Erik Smith, and Klinton Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen Smith, and brother Dennis Smith.
Mark worked for 29 years for Ken Garff Automotive. He enjoyed woodworking, home improvements, camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandkids. He was a kind, loving man and will be greatly missed by many.
A graveside service will be held in his honor for his family December 5th, 2014. Following the service a memorial for friends and family will be held at his home, 2651 East Milo Way, Holladay, on December 5th from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name at any Mountain America Credit Union branch.
