Golly, where do I even begin with my lovely friend and gospel sister. Marla and Jamon walked into our lives a couple of years ago and we fast became friends….and we will never be the same because of their pure love they gave to so many. We had dinners at each others houses, went to a number of movies together, are huge fans of the series, Chosen, and had many insightful discussions about our Savior because of the series. Marla would get almost giddy with excitement upon talking about our Elder Brother, Jesus Christ….it was joy filled and we would often come to tears in sharing our love for our Savior. Her enthusiasm, laughter and smiles were contagious and heart warming. We served in callings together, (how she loved crafting and creating), and we had the best of times, including cleaning the temple and attending the Pocatello Temple. Jamon and Marla have left footprints on our hearts through their genuine friendship, Christlike examples and their love and compassion upon us and others in the Blackfoot 10th Ward. She endured to the end of her mortal life with grace and confidence of where she was headed - she left the loving embrace of her beautiful family here and walked through the parted veil into the arms of beautiful loved ones in another realm. She will always be my eternal friend, and I can feel her warm embrace and hear her chuckle even now telling me she has met our Lord and Savior - but I think she already had through her faith here…she just knew ….and knows even more right now! Till we meet again Miss Marla, I love you💖.
