Marvin Evert Acey's Obituary
Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather moved on from this life to join his devoted wife, Sherry, on February 19, 2015.
Marvin was born September 13, 1916, in Lovell, Wyoming, to David and Thressa Asay. He served in the military Army Air Forces, where he completed 51 bombing missions during WW II in the European theater. He married the love of his life, Sherry Elaine Allred, on February 1, 1946. They were married for 63 years before her passing in January 2009. Marvin worked in real estate and product sales until he retired in 1981.
Marvin loved the outdoors--camping, fishing, hunting and skiing--but his real passion was golf. He maintained a single-digit handicap until his mid 80’s. He had one of the most positive outlooks on life of anyone around and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He was continually a great example to all those around him.
Marvin is survived by his son, Richard Acey (Edith); his grandsons, Marvin S. Acey (Kim) and Michael L. Acey; and his great-grandchildren, Jordan Acey, Madison Acey, Brenden Acey and Kaytie Acey.
Marvin was greeted in heaven by his parents; his wife, Sherry; his great-grandson, Jacob; his brother, Donald Ferrell; and his sisters, Erma and Violet.
We would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers at Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson and Bristol Hospice for the loving care they provided to Marvin.
