Mary Lois Biggar Sume's Obituary
Our dear sweet mother, Mary Lois Biggar Sume passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 surrounded by her family. Mary was born on November 10, 1923 in Vancouver, B.C., Canada to Albert Victor Biggar and Annie Bertha Williams Biggar.
She married her eternal companion, Raino Robert Sume on June 28, 1952 in Vancouver. She loved more than anything to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Mary and Raino joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1960 and the family was later sealed in the Cardston, Alberta Temple in 1962. They remained faithful members of the church throughout their lives, serving in many church callings. Mary enjoyed working part-time at Beehive clothing for almost 20 years.
She is survived by 6 of her children; David Randall Sume, Montreal, QC, Canada; Debra (Troy) Reynolds, Eagle Mountain, UT; Lori Anne Sume, Orem, UT; Gary Robert (Jerri) Sume, West Jordan, UT; Karen (Alan) Oakes, American Fork, UT; Tracey Walker, American Fork, UT; 21 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raino; and her youngest son, Jason Raymond.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.at the Sharon Stake Center at 545 S. 800 E. in Orem. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00- 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Internment will be at the Orem City Cemetery.
